Practice with a conversational AI interviewer tailored to your exact job role and experience level. Get questions from Easy to Hard, receive real-time feedback on your answers, and get a full performance report at the end.

JobChef uses Google Gemini AI — one of the most capable large language models available — to generate all content. This means our cold emails, ATS analyses, and interview questions are not templated. Every output is uniquely generated based on your specific resume and the job description you provide.
All AI processing is done securely via Google's infrastructure. Your resume data is transmitted transiently for analysis and is never used to train AI models or shared with third parties.

JobChef is a true cross-platform application — built with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose so the experience is native on every platform:
Your job profiles, resumes, email drafts, and interview history are all synced to your account via Firebase, so you can start on your phone and continue on your laptop seamlessly.
Token-Based AI Credits
JobChef uses a token system to give you flexible access to AI features. Every new user receives free onboarding tokens, and you earn daily bonus tokens just for opening the app. Additional token packs are available for purchase if you need more.
- Cold Email Generation: Uses tokens based on the length and complexity of analysis.
- ATS Score Check: Consumes a small number of tokens per analysis.
- Interview Practice: Each question and evaluation session uses tokens.

The Team Behind JobChef
JobChef was founded in 2026 by a dedicated group of software engineers, career coaches, and recruitment specialists. Having worked on both sides of the hiring table, our team witnessed how applicant tracking systems filter out highly qualified candidates due to simple keyword mismatches. We built JobChef to demystify this process and put enterprise-grade AI tools directly in the hands of job seekers.
How the ATS Scoring Works
Our scoring algorithm is modeled directly after the industry-standard Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) used by Fortune 500 companies. It operates in three distinct phases:
- TF-IDF & Keyword Extraction: The AI extracts high-frequency keywords, core technical skills, and domain vocabulary directly from your target job description.
- Experience Alignment: It maps these requirements against your PDF resume using vector-space embeddings, scoring your experience match from 0 to 100.
- Actionable Feedback Generation: Instead of a black-box score, it identifies specific missing skills and provides structured improvement tips based on verified recruiting templates.
